Tip #3: Sit Like a Lady. This is a hard one. Most of the time, I wear long, full skirts, which means that I feel like I can sit however I want. Plus, I’m so at ease around my friends that I can completely relax with little to no effort. But, especially for those times when I’m out in public, or if I’m wearing a slightly shorter skirt, sitting is a big deal. To think about when sitting:

  • Sit up straight.

Even if you’re not bolt-upright, you can avoid slumping over. Try to keep a nice posture!

  • Knees together, or legs crossed.

This is pretty straight forward. Don’t sprawl out. If you’re wearing a knee-length or shorter skirt, please sit with your knees together. Crossing your feet and putting them to one side is even better! Princess Diaries has a fabulous scene that covers this very topic.Ā šŸ™‚
