Food presentation and photography have been two very intriguing subjects in my life for some time. At Raglan Road, they’ve done fabulous job at food presentation – making the photography ever so much easier.
This time, I only had an iPhone to snap pictures with, and was not necessarily going for the best photography. But, here is a shot of the Appetizer D’Lirrah – a medley of the following dishes:
Dalkey Duo (“… Battered cocktail sausages with a Dalkey mustard dipping sauce…” – they offer GF!)
Scallop Forrest (“… Georges Bank scallops in a golden batter served with citrus lime dipping sauce & sweet chili jam…” – also available as GF!)
Heaven on Earth (“… Baby back ribs tossed in a Guinness glaze…”)
Nom Nom Wings (“… Sweet ‘n spicy wings tossed in a honey, chili flake, soy & ginger sauce…”)
Small white serving dishes; a creative fork presentation for height and interest; a wood board to pull it all together.
What an amazing feast! Every item was fantastic, and the dipping sauces superb. To top it off, it was all served in this brilliant, eye-catching set. The small, battered sausages and scallops were speared on the forks, as shown, and the sauces, wings, and ribs were served in white bowls. All of this arranged neatly on a wooden board made for a beautiful meal.
It was definitely inspiring!
