Having a well-stocked pantry (and freezer) is a GREAT way to stay ready for those last-minute calls for hospitality. The other morning, there was a death in the church. Without even thinking about going to the grocery store, we and our neighbors were able to have a full meal ready for the family’s supper.
In the midst of it all, we realized that the family would need a meal for the following day. And, we received news that friends were headed down from out-of-state, and would be staying with us.
This proves that last-minute hospitality is very real! If you keep plenty of pantry/freezer basics on hand, you’ll find that it is much easier to roll with the flow of hosting-craziness. 🙂
