Here are a few things (besides the necessary car registration, etc.) that we like to keep in the glove box.
- Paper Napkins – lots and lots of these. This is probably one of the most important items I can think of for keeping easily accessible and well-stocked in our vehicles.
- Plastic Utensils – These come in very handy for anything from eating your own homemade travel-food, to digging into that pint of ice cream you’re sharing with the family. 🙂
- Extra Straws
- Extra Packets of Sauces/Condiments/etc. – WARNING: We highly recommend storing these in plastic baggies. It’s not a fun task to clean the glove box (and every item in it) after finding a random, leaking Polynesian Sauce. Trust me on this one.
- Hand Wipes – We do not currently have any of these in the glove box, but I think they would be a fabulous addition, especially with kids.
I’m sure I’m forgetting some things, but these are a few that we use very frequently. I store the sauces, napkins, and some packets of salt in a sandwich bag. The utensils and straws get rubber-banded together, and (if we have an abundance) any extra paper napkins that don’t fit in the baggie get stacked neatly on top. One day, I may upgrade my organization tools (rubber band and plastic baggie), but for now, the glove box is staying tidy, and everything is accessible. I’m happy. 🙂
