Well, this post is late, due to our traveling this weekend (okay, and my lack of preparedness…). But, our travels did give me the idea to write this week’s “What to Have on Hand” post about travels.
There you have it, folks – the word “travel” 3 times in two sentences… 🙂
So, it’s always a good idea to be at least moderately ready to hit the road at a moment’s notice. Here are a few things that you can have packed at all times:
- Dupe Kits (one for every member in the family, or one larger dupe kit for the whole family with just the essentials)
- First Aid/Medicine Bag (ours ends up almost like a mobile pharmacy)
- Glove Box (Essentials like your car registration should always be there. But, we also pack ours with paper napkins, plastic utensils, extra straws, and even extra packets of mayo, ketchup, etc. This makes eating in the car much easier.)
- In the car: Facial Tissues, Hand Sanitizer, Breath Mints/Gum/etc. (for last-mintute breath-freshening), Flash Lights, Spare Tire, Jack, Umbrella(s), etc.
I’ll plan on more extensive posts on each of these items. These are all affordable, quick, easy, and make your job so much simpler when you’re trying to get out the door in a hurry.
