Fudge

This is the best recipe we’ve ever found for smooth, thick fudge, and is by far the easiest!

  • 3 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Dash Salt
  • 1/2 to 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

In a 4-cup glass measure, combine chips with sweetened condensed milk. Place in microwave and cook on 100% power (high) 1 minute. Stir. Cook 30 seconds at a time – stirring after each time –  until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overcook! Stir in remaining ingredients.

Spread evenly in a wax paper-lined 8- or 9-inch square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
