Chewy Toffee Almond Bars

These are everything their name states. Chewy, toffee-filled, almond-y delicious-ness in every single bite!

  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Beat until fluffy, then gradually add:

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour

Beat until well blended.

Press dough evenly into 9×13 pan with greased sides. Bake for 15-20 at 350F.

Now for the “Chewy” part.

  • 1 3/4 cup (10 oz package) Brickle/Heath bits/Toffee bits
  • 3/4 cup Light Corn Syrup

Combine in medium saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until heath bits are melted (10-12 minutes). Now, stir in:

  • 1/2 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut

Spread this mixture to within 1/4″ of edges of baked crust. Sprinkle with:

  • 1/2 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut

Bake an additional 15 minutes, or until bubbly. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes about 36 bars.
