Allergy-Friendly Travel Food – Burritos

As I mentioned in earlier posts concerning food allergies, it is sometimes best for folks with allergies to have already eaten by the time they arrive at their host’s gathering.

However, especially with children, this is not always enough. Try making burritos ahead of time! Gluten-free tortillas or wraps make this job quick and easy. And you can fill them with whatever you or your child likes best! Here are a couple of ideas:


  • Refried Beans
  • Avocados
  • Sour Cream
  • Cilantro
  • Salsa
  • Olives
  • Tomatoes
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Grilled Chicken/Ground Beef/Grilled Steak/etc.

Breakfast Burrito

  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Salsa
  • Sour Cream
  • Cilantro
  • Ground Sausage
  • Shredded Cheese
