Allergy-Friendly Menu Ideas

Here are a few ideas for meals or dishes that lend themselves nicely to gluten-free (GF). Some are also dairy-free (or easily made so), egg, and nut free. (And, as always, you can Google or explore Pinterest for more great ideas.)

Breakfast:

  • Bacon
  • Breakfast Casseroles
  • Eggs
  • Fruit
  • Grits
  • Oats (Not always acceptable for strict GF)
  • Quiche (Crustless for an easy switch to GF)

Lunch:

  • Beanie Weenies
  • Chili
  • Chicken/Tuna Salad
  • Cornbread Salad
  • Egg Salad
  • Fried Rice
  • Green Salads (preferably with meat)
  • GF Mac&Cheese
  • Meat and Veggie Soups
  • GF Pasta Salad

Supper:

  • Beans & Cornbread (using straight cornmeal, not the mix)
  • Beef/Pork/Venison Roast, Veggies
  • Beef and Veggie Soup/Stew
  • Brunswick Stew
  • Chili
  • Chicken/Turkey and Dressing
  • Cubed Steak (using cornstarch in place of flour)
  • Crustless Quiche
  • Grilled Meat, Veggies, Salad
  • Kabobs, Veggies, Salad
  • Pork Chops (simmered, grilled, etc.)
  • Roasted Chicken, Veggies
  • Tomato Soup

Dessert:

  • Candied Sweet Potato Slices
  • Cheesecake (crustless, for an easy GF alternative)
  • Chocolate Oatmeal No-Bake Cookies
  • Fruit
  • Fudge
  • Grape Salad
  • Pudding
  • Mango Sticky Rice (an AMAZING combination of coconut cream, mangos, and rice)
  • Meringues
  • Rice Crispie Treats (replace butter with coconut oil for a dairy-free alternative)
